LEGO Kids' Clikits Hearts Watch #4216814

It looks and feels significantly cheaper than what I actually paid for, possibly one step above the 'McDonald's Happy Meal' cheap. Made in China, of course.

The dial face is quite small, about 5/8" and, the very small numbers on the dial, reddish pink on a pink background are not exactly easy to read. The band is made of plastic and there are swappable modules. The 'manual' claims that there are millions of possible combinations if you buy the 'accessory packs' which, in our case is not going to happen.

The battery is included but the watch is not working while in the box because the knob used to adjust the time is held in the 'off' position by a small, barely visible piece of transparent plastic. There is no mention of it in the pamphlet that serves as manual but, once the plastic is removed and the knob is pushed down, the watch begins to operate.

In addition, the box includes a number of heart-shaped ornaments of various sizes, in pink and light blue, that could be attached to the band and a pink ring with little pink hearts on it that can be applied on the face.

I know that my little girl is going to like this, at least for a day or 2, because it's pink and it has lots of little hearts but, for a watch, it's not an impressive unit, not even for the relatively low price it sells for. The watch is likely to end up inside that big crate where we keep the stuff waiting for the Spring yard sale and, if we are lucky, someone will buy it for $.25 or maybe $.50. When I bought this watch from Amazon almost a year ago there were several very positive reviews. Mine keeps great time and was perfect for a European trip that included a lot of train travel. This watch is very nice but there is one odd thing: the date is IMPOSSIBLE to read. It is so small that you cannot even see it with a magnifying glass. I really liked the look and feel of this watch, only one problem: the band is too short to get around my wrist! Now admittedly my wrist is a little on the larger size (8 inches); however, that is not on the extreme by any means (I believe the average American male's wrist is between 6.75" and 8.25"). The watch description does not give an actual measurement, but rather says "Band length: mens", so I assumed I'd be able to wear the watch, even if it was a bit snug. I was wrong. I mainly bought this watch for use as a water-resistant basic time and compass watch while hiking in the mountains and going on walking tours in foreign cities while traveling. And for those purposes, it is great watch *** for the price ***. Yes, you can get better watches with more features such as altimeter and barometer readings in the $100-$200 price range if you need to have those options. After calibration, the compass reading is quite accurate. The temperature readings are only accurate if you take the watch off of your wrist or else it is affected by the heat emanating from your wrist. But for my purposes, I usually do not care about what the exact temperature is, only if I feel the subjective need to add or remove a layer of clothing :-) All displays have excellent legibility.

I love it! I had ~5 watches in my life. Primary reason is for surfing. I need to know when it's time to go to work, or when the parking meter will expire. This is the cheapest watch I ever owned, and also the best (ironic!). "water resist" isn't very clear... but I been surfing with it and no problems yet (couple weeks now). Originally I thought I needed 200m rating (30,50,100m are all inadequate) for surfing (water sports) based on my research on water resistance ratings. But that is FALSE!!! This watch works in the water (ocean!). The watch is light (not cumbersome) and the large face and numbers make it easy to tell the time (without squinting or looking closely). Has no light, but I don't need it. The white face makes for plenty visibility. I am so glad I didn't waste another $60 on another G-shock watch... $8.50 for this watch. Also another great thing: only 1 button. I hate many buttons (confusing/complicated watches). Also, no Alarm or StopWatch/Timer modes... just one mode: it tells me the time!!! I love it. Watch Case Wrench, Waterproof, Jaxa Type

I was pleasantly surprised when I opened up the box and found the wooden case. Although the one I have differs from the picture. The one I received has a magnetic closure and not the clips shown on the picture. I actually like this better. It's very solid and doesn't appear that it would open accidentally.

The wrench itself is clearly high quality. It's very easy to use and the adjustments work well. The only complaint that I would give is that they appeared to have forgotten to wash the wrench after it was milled. It was literally dripping in machine oil. I would guess from the lathe or milling machine they used to construct it.

Overall, I'm pleased with the value and construction. It was better then I had expected.

I decided a few months ago that I needed an another wrist watch in addition to my Seiko. I didn't really want to spend much, I just needed something that was going to be simple, easy to read, included a few basic functions (stopwatch, alarm, light, 24hr time etc.), but most of all was CLASSIC!

Of course, I looked no further than an original design by Casio, and the F105W was watch to watch. A good sturdy design, made well from excellent materials, well sized, and is actually quite comfortable to wear. Basic and conservative design is accompanied by user-friendly functions. The beep on the watch is very audible and distinct, but still discreet enough to not stand out too much. The manual was also well written and took about 5 seconds to get all the info from it.

Being a fan of all things 80s, I had to get it, and the fact that it was so cheap made it a 100% sale. The light is the perfect colour for darkness, and provides total clarity when viewing under illumination. Also the interface is set out well, and all functions and displays are all in logical positions. A total hit with all my friends, and would suit any arm on any person.

In conclusion, I couldn't be happier. If you're looking for a simple yet classic watch, this is the one to use. This is a decent watch. It is unfortunately, disposable. The pretty blue turns an ugly greyish green after a while, like a month, of serious swimming pool swimming. If you want to keep it blue, don't expose it to chlorine. If you want to take it into a pool regularly, you might want to pick a different color. The band starts to crack after about 2 years. Being resin, there is no way to fix it and there is no way to replace it. (Other Ironman models have replaceable bands.) It also has a tendency not to remain waterproof. No serious depth diving, just regular swimming and after a while it develops a fog under the "crystal" when exposed to water. It dries out, but the waterproofing is clearly not made to last. Mine leaked within the first year, so I sent it back (plus the required $7) and they replaced it under warranty.

Aside from the above mentioned problems, it is a nice watch with a lot of cool features. If you still want to buy this watch, there is an extended warranty you can get for $5 from Timex for 5 years of coverage. I didn't, but it is described in the instructins paper that comes with the watch. It'll cost you $7 plus shipping every time you send it in, but I can assure you you will need to send it in during that time if you wear the watch regularly.

I have a 10 year old decent quartz watch that ran out of battery and I didn't want to pay 50 bucks for a jeweler to change it because I'm actually not too fond of the watch anymore haha.
