This is a very nice watch. It does its job and is easy to read (and cheap).

I was trying to decide between this model, the similar-looking Casio MQ24-1B (black), and the MQ24-7E (white, without numerals). I thought the other two might look a little bit nicer, but I eventually decided on this product, the MQ24-7B, because I thought it would probably be more readable than either of the others, and that is the most important thing.

Before this, I had almost always used a digital watch, but I'm quite happy with this one. I have to get used to remembering what day of the month it is instead of checking my watch, and I can't set alarms anymore, but that's not a big problem. If I hold it within about a foot of my ear, I can hear it softly ticking, but otherwise it seems to be silent.

Depending on how your Waveceptor is put together will determine if your watch is water resistant; My Waveceptor is not!!!

On the outside this watch is all metal, but that is where it ends. The four screws holding the stainless back on are anchored into a plastic casing on inside the watch. When my watch was made one of the screws must have been stripped allowing the back to let in moisture. I didn't send the watch in to get "fixed" and decided to dry the watch out myself. (Note: Had I sent the watch in for repair this may have been a three star review.) Well I've had to dry my watch out three times and can not wear it hiking as the sweat from my body will fog up the watch crystal.

Speaking of the crystal. I can understand why it is not made out of glass as it has to let through as much light as possible to charge the battery.

All in all this is a great timepiece. I just would not recommend you wear it near water or during any sports activities.

Owned this watch for nearly a year now, bought it because I need an unobtrusive watch. It's really slim, which is right for me, a guy who doesn't need a bulky watch to underscore his slim wrists. I've been complimented on the watch a few times since it looks different from most watches other guys wear. The titanium band feels fine, and hasn't snagged any of my arm hairs.
The problem is, the watch face is nigh impossible to see at night. Sometimes during dark periods in the day, I have to rely on reflections off of the silver ticks and hands of the watch face to tell what time it is. Should've expected that since the face is already dark (but a very pretty) blue.
I managed to scratch the crystal within the first two months of ownership, partly because of my clumsiness (walked into a door frame), but haven't had any other blemishes.

I have had this watch for about a month and it is great!! Everything you would expect from a G-Shock. Even for its big size it fits comfortably on my wrist, I weigh a 150 Lbs so my wrists are quite small and since it is so comfortable I usually don't even know I'm wearing it. The EL Display works great and the auto backlight is a great feature. It syncs with the atomic clock in Denver every evening and I have checked the time with the atomic clock on the internet and it is within spec (+/- 0.05 seconds) when I check it :-). Great looking watch that will last you a long time and the display has excellent protection from scratches, you would really have to go out of your way to do some damage to it. The charge indicator has always been HIGH since I have recieved it, granted I live in Phoenix Az where it's sunny almost every day, and it even goes to sleep with you at night (Display shuts off to save battery life). I've worn Timex Ironman watches for the past 13 years. They are very decent watches for a relatively inexpensive price. I prefer the resin strap watches because they don't retain odors like the cloth straps do.
I can take or leave the Flix technology, it activated itself sometimes when I didn't want to, and wouldn't work when I did. I just relied on using the normal Indiglo button.
These watches typically last me about a year and a half, and it is always the same piece that gives out. The small retaining band for the strap breaks inexplicably in the middle of the night, and I end up with the excess end of the strap flapping and catching on my clothes and falling off. The new watch straps are about half the price of what a brand new watch costs, and I find I prefer just to pick out a new watch because after the year the paint on the face has started to chip and it looks ragged. While I love the watch, I am not a fan of Amazon -- let me explain: I meant to order one watch but somehow the order came through for two watches. I am sure it was my fault. Here's the problem. When I sent the second watch back, Amazon was great about giving me a shipping label to mail it back, but it has been three, almost four weeks and I still havent gotten credit for the returned watch.

Skagen Men's Titanium Watch #170LTTM

I love this watch! I selected it because it is similar in design to the 1999 stainless steel Skagen watch that I still love and wear. I chose this for its titanium case (my 1999 Skagen's finish has worn off of the case) and old band style. I have never had any need for repairs on the 1999 version and hope the same is true for this model.

I read the reviews for this watch after I purchased it; and, before it arrived, I ordered a watch bra (28mm size) from luxlogs to protect the crystal. The watch bra fits the curved crystal, is barely detectable, and has kept the crystal damage free (despite my clumsy bumps and drops).

I have good hearing and have not heard this watch ticking from my bedstand at night. Also, I knew from the photos of the watch that the dial would be hard to read at night before I purchased it.

I am happy to have this new Skagen as I can retire my old 1999 version to yard work and athletic activities and keep the new, more business-worthy appearing Skagen for all other occasions.

Citizen Men's Eco-Drive 300 Meter Professional Diver Watch #BN0000-04H

This was one of Citizen's first "eco drive" watches and is still in production! Mine is the "Diver's 200m" and somewhere along the way Citizen upgraded it to 300m without changing the design. It's worked perfectly for me for over 10 years and remains one of my favorites due to its brushed steel finish, textured dial, raised hour markers and unique hands. Keep in mind that this is one of the smallest mens dive watches on the market to choose. The case measures 40mm diagonally, however, the outer bezel ring measures 38mm across. So by the time you work your way into the dial, the watch appears to be smaller than other 40mm watches and the trend today is to produce dive watches much greater than 40mm. However, I haven't bought into wearing the new HUGE styles and think this watch is the right size. I ditched the rubber band right off and have worn various 20mm bands with it. I've been waiting for Citzen to come out with stainless steel watchband for it to dress it up. It has a classic minimalist style with a unique look that doesn't try to copy any other brands. After 4-years of abusing my Casio MTG900 on/under water, clearing land, etc. on the east coast of FL, plus timing food on my grill, here is what I think a prospective buyer should know. (1) When EST & DST change, I leave my Casio out in our screenroom to make sure the WWV time signal from CO activates a change; aways works. Small time updates are received regularly while I'm wearing it outside. (2) Be sure to carefully save the instruction booklet; you'll want to utilize other functions sometime. (3) Most important, when you initially remove excess band links & pins, carefully preserve them with your booklet. Nobody sells those spring-pins and it is just a matter of time before you will catch the band on something, bend a link pin, and urgently need one of your saved pins and/or links. Easy to fix using a tiny eye-glass screwdriver to retract the pin's spring, and a magnifier to spot the etched pin orientation arrow. This is a great, nicely designed watch. It's got a metal band and it's pretty comfortable to wear once you get it fitted to your wrist right and you are used to the fold over clasp.

It definitely tells time and it does it's job well. If you're looking for a simple elegant watch, this is for you. Sure it's not packing in a lot of features like atomic synchronization or solar battery powered, but for about $15-$20, you really can't go wrong with this watch.
