I spent a lot of time looking over the many dive/sport watches offered by Amazon and other sites. For the price, the Freestyle Precision is a very good value for the quality and features that it offers. I have not had the watch for a long time so I cannot comment on the longevity and reliability of the watch. I am glad that it comes with a good warranty and with information on how and where to get the watch serviced, etc.
My initial impression was that the watch was larger than I was used to but was actually in the mid-range of the dive/sport watch category that I searched. I actually like the look of it on my average-sized wrist. I am not crazy about the wavy-shaped polyurethane strap, but it is actually very stable and confortable on my wrist. Again, most dive watches that I searched out and read about came with a similar strap.
I like the looks of the watch (I have the black face). The directions on the operation of the watch were fairly easy to read and follow. I like the day/date digital readout. I like the ability to set and use the alarm function. However, I would agree with the other reviewer that stated that the alarm is not very loud. I like the backlight feature, but it only illuminates the digital display. And since I usually have the day/date option in the digital display it does not help me unless I first switch to the time display and then push the backlight button in order to see at night. The watch hands illuminate well, but the four, white, round circles don't seem to glow as well as the hands. I like the recessed crystal - it seems to be protected well from scratching.
