I like this watch a lot, but before you buy it you should know a few things.
Appearance; there is no way around it, this watch looks like a plastic watch. It may be some other kind of material but it still looks like a plastic watch. I don't mind that personally but others might. If you like Casios you'll like this one, too, otherwise stay away from it.
It is lightweight and well made, although I think the mineral crystal has too much reflection, but it probably won't bother most people.
Where this watch really shines (pun intended) is at night, but it's not as bright as what Luminox advertises. If you've never had a Luminox or similar watch before, when they say 100 times brighter than any other watch, that's a big overstatement. I have had watches with conventional illumination systems that were brighter after being outside in the sunlight. But they only stay that bright for 15-20 minutes. Seikos, for example, are brighter in that scenario.
The first thing you'll do when you buy it is go to a dark room and check it out, and you'll be underwhelmed. Especially when you just come from a well-lit environment and your eyes are not yet adapted to darkness, you'll barely see anything at first. But at night, if you wake up and look at the watch, it'll be very bright, and it'll always be very bright. So if you buy it and are having second thoughts, do the night test first.
To give you an idea of what it's going to be like do this; take an ordinary watch, put it under a light bulb for 2 minutes, and then go to a dark room and wait 5 minutes for your eyes to adapt. The glow you see then if how bright this watch will be, always, for the next 10-25 years. I just love it. It won't replace your flashlight, but you'll always be able to tell the time in the dark, period.
Other than that, it's just a regular simple Swiss watch, but for just above $100 it's a pretty good deal.
